While at MASS MoCA, I had the opportunity to work on several projects for the Education Department. These included mostly posters and adverstisements for kids events, but my favorite project was by far the “Create your own Building 5″ activity sheets. These are extra-large brochures which invite young patrons to color, cut out and create a diorama of the exhibition they experienced while visiting MASS MoCA.
I enjoyed these projects as they enabled me to expand and exercise my illustration skills while expanding on an existing aesthetic used by MASS MoCA for education purposes. The end result is fun, whimsical and friendly.
