SUU: ART 3820
(The Contemporary
Landscape)
I feel that humans are inherently connected to their respective landscapes, and that we own those landscapes as easily as we own the air we breathe. It is a part of our identity, lives and breathes and dies with us.
For this project, I decided to claim pieces of land as my own. Not by buying them, or posting a sign, or staking them off, but merely by creating a place that I physically belonged.
In every case, the imprints were dug solely by hand.
